Dart Princess Ferry

Ferry ride from Paignton to Torquay

We took the Ferry in Sept 23 just before they stopped for the Autumn/Winter break.

3 adults,2 children from Paignton to Torquay in about 20 minutes around the coves, beachfront and across to Torquay.

You can do any of several trips and other ferrys do cover Paignton to Brixham or Brixham to Torquay

Otherwise you can go further afield and do a days fishing excursion or go and see the seals. All information is set up at the huts in the harbour for prices and timetables, they do take card payment's.

It was stunning, a calm day, a slight breeze and views from the deck were amazing. Refreshments are available at extra cost, dogs are welcome on board, they even had a mascot dog travelling that day.

Staff were lovely and helpful and mindful that we had a buggy and very small first time boat traveler children with us. They kept up an audio of all the favorite landmarks, for us this was brilliant as we had just moved to the area and was very interesting to hear titbits of knowledge of where we had decided to settle down and set roots.

all in all a very enjoyable trip and I'm sure we will be firm ferry takers for years to come.

Its a 4 minute stroll from the drop off point to the Guest House so you haven't got far to walk to get back again and Torquay drop of delivers you to their lovely harbour, under the raised bridge and opposite all the shops and cafes that you could need.

Hot Chocolates all round followed by some very constructive crab fishing that day.
